Our Barrel Chiller Cold Therapy Package is designed to make cold plunging easier and more consistent. This complete package is built for customers who want to use their own compatible Ice Barrel™ setup while getting the convenience of a Penguin Chillers cooling system.

With 7,500 BTU/hr of cooling capacity, a built-in pump, and quick connect fittings, the included Cold Therapy Chiller helps simplify cold therapy so your plunge is ready when you are without the need for ice runs. This package includes the barrel attachment components, hoses, and fittings needed to get started, so you have the core hardware needed to begin using the system with your compatible barrel.

Please note: The Ice Barrel™ itself is not included. Customers must choose between the 300 / 500 Kit or the 400 Kit depending on their setup.

Setup Notes

The pump is not self-priming. Your setup needs to gravity prime to the pump for proper operation.

Place the chiller within 3′ of the drain of your tub whenever possible.

The bottom of the chiller should be at the same height or lower than the bottom of your tub.

Do not elevate the chiller above the tub.

Proper fitment depends on selecting the correct 300 / 500 Kit or 400 Kit for your compatible Ice Barrel™ setup.

Outdoor Use

The Cold Therapy Chiller is designed for outdoor use in all weather conditions except freezing temperatures.

Disconnect and drain the chiller completely if ambient temperatures drop to freezing or below to prevent damage.

Operating Notes

Ambient temperatures, insulation, and sun exposure will affect performance. Reducing external heat load will help maintain colder water temperatures more consistently.

The pump should run continuously, and the filter should be kept clean for proper temperature monitoring and operation.

Condensation may occur depending on operating temperature and ambient humidity, so plan your installation accordingly.
